WNCHSAA Track and Field Records

The Western North Carolina Activities Association did not merge into the NCHSAA until 1977. There were about 40 schools that would hold their own championships in each sport. They were often refered to as "the Western Association". We have event winners from 1952-1977, but are missing most of the team winners. The track meet began in 1950. It is believed the 1977 meet was the only year the girls held a track championship.
