1. WILLIAM1 RAWLINGS was born Bef. 1719, and died June 25, 1787 in Brunswick Co, VA. He married NAOMI Abt. 1735.

Note that there was a Thomas Rawlings in Brunswick Co before 1735. Brunswick Co Court 3 July 1735. Thoams Wison came into Court & presented & acknowledged deeds of lease & release to ....Thomas Rawlins....

Indenture was acknowledged in Court on April 28, 1760, by James ROY, and (wife's name not given), his wife, appeared and relinquished her right of dower. Deed Book 6, page 461--see James Roy deed with David Dunn {post security Stanley Hite}see one James Wray(Ray?) on 1782 Halifax census.--No Joseph Denton mentioned anywhere else in Brunswick, but see Benjamin Harrison(also above), James Johnson, Joseph Hightower. Some other Denton are listed in Brunswick, see Peter Denton----see William Rawlings mary Mary d/o Alexander Roberts
Note that his dau Mary md a Rice and in Stafford Co. VA a Richard Rawlings to Katherine Rice Apr 11, 1746. There is a large Rawlings contingent in Stafford Co as early as 1716. See RFHA Sep 1993 p.37.
Notes for NAOMI:
I suspect that Naomi may be a Reese.

Is that true? RFHA Dec 1989, p.16 has the 1787 list and John doesn't seem to be on it. Perhaps he is only on the 1782 list. Need to check this because this John could be my John that went to Charlotte Co. Very doubtful, but need to make sure he is or isn't.

ICHMOND RAWLINGS:May be the Richmond that is Dinwiddie Co in 1787. Listed on VA Tax Payers list 1787. See RFHA Dec 1989, p.16.
There is a Reese Rawlings in Dinwiddie Co VA in 1810 census with 5 males, 3 females. There is also a Richmond there on the 1787 tax rolls. So it looks like both brothers moved to Dinwiddie Co VA. Reese was still in Brunswick Co in 1787 as were brothers Henry and William. See RFHA Dec 1989, p.16.

2. REESE2 RAWLINGS (WILLIAM1) was born Abt. 1740 in Brunswick Co, VA. He married CLARISSA BARNES.
Notes for REESE RAWLINGS:
There is a Reese Rawlings in Dinwiddie Co VA in 1810 census with 5 males, 3 females. There is also a Richmond there on the 1787 tax rolls. So it looks like both brothers moved to Dinwiddie Co VA.
It is very doubtful that Peterson was a son of Reese. Mary Harris thought he was, Barbara Browder thinks not - look at the name of his children - no Reese. First son John - likely father is named John. Also, there is evidence that Peterson and James of Brunswick were brothers. See RFHA Mar 1994 p.11
I think James b Nov 1770 was a child of Reese. He has a son Enoch Reece.

This is probably David's marriage.
There is a David Rawlings in Berkeley Co in 1810 with 3 males, and 1 female.
Note there is a David Rawlings Will in Green Co, TN WB ?, p 23 October 1827

That David was born 1763 and married (2) Nancy Baker. See RFHA Mar 1991 p. 6.
Wow! Ruthy Shelton and Samuel Lotspeich tie directly into the Rutherford Co Rawlings.

Don't have any information on siblings or farther back than 1784. Also missing parents of spouses in most cases. However, have the Ball line going back from Martha Elvira Ball. Haven't found out for sure which Ball line Elizabeth Ball was from.
Appreciate any input. Thanks.

Susanna (godpt) may be Jesse Rawlings wife but Howell is too young to be a son of Jesse. Howell just doesn't see to fit with anyone.
Note also that this Henry Rawlings in Brunswick Co. had a Littleberry Rawlings betw 1884-1894.
Charles,
I added some info on your list below that came from the Rawlings Family
History Association Newsletter June 1993. There is more in the following
issues in 1993 as well. Hope this helps!
I am working the other end i.e. trying to follow the Rawlings into Brunswick
Co in the early 1700's. There is a William Rawlings there in 1750
(c1722-1787) who I suspect came from my Surry Co Rawlings because he appears
with Sampson Lanier who also appeared with my Surry Co Rawlings in Surry Co
VA. He has been thought to be the son of Wm Rawlings who died in 1737 in
Surry who was himself the son of Gregory Rawlings (1685-1755) (md Hannah
Knott) who was the son of John Rawlings (1655-1702) son of John Rawlings
(1617-1674) son of Gregory Rawlings (1595-1653).
William (1722-1787) supposedly (not proven) had a son Henry (1744-1807/9) who
md (2nd marriage) Sarah Duggar in Brunswick Co in 1785. Then Henry had a son
Benjamin (1770-1853) also not proven who md Miner/Minah Wilkes in 1799 also
in Brunswick Co.
