reach Egypt and areas of the Levant once the 600 kW transmitter is operational. The transmitter, located in southeastern Cyprus near Cape Greco, is expected to start carrying MERN in August 2002.

1215 GEO Georgian Radio 1, Dusheti Georgian Radio (``Sakartvelos Radio`` in Georgian) now only uses 1215 kHz regularly. This is a relatively low-power transmitter at Dusheti, just 40 km north of Tbilisi. However, this outlet is frequently off during power cuts, and this also applies to other transmitters.
