Brian Flynn
From
the Oran GAA club in Co. Roscommon, Ireland. Winner of the 1997
Intermediate county football championship, and the 1998 Senior county
hurling championship with Oran. Joined Shamrocks in 2002 and a member
of the the Brisbane Shield final team. Opened his scoring account
versus Souths - see story.
Dan Fraser
1995 premiership
in the Darling Downs
Australian Football League, 140-odd games for Dalby Swans
AFC 1992-98 before heading to the 'big smoke'. Won the Queensland and Shamrocks
Best First Year player awards in 1999. Played for Queensland in 2000
against the touring Allied Irish Bank Club that included a string of
Inter-county stars. Shamrocks senior team captain, leading them to
the 2000 Championship. Won the Shamrocks Best & Fairest award in
2000. Transferred to Mt Isa with intentions of founding the 'Mt Isa'
Shamrocks. Returned mid-season for 2 games in 2001.
Natalie Fraser (nee Mollison)
Debuted in 2000 and was named Queensland and Shamrocks Best First Year
Player. Scored five points for the season from midfield. Transferred to
Mt Isa but returned midseason in 2001 for one game and scored 1 point.
David Gall Queensland
minor representative at the 1999 Australasian Gaelic Games in Perth,
Western Australia, winning the Australasian Championship. Won the
Shamrocks' reserve mens Most Consistent player award in 2001. Shamrocks
committee member in 2002.
Kirsten Geary
Debuted in 2000, and scored two points. Queensland representative at
the 2000 Australasian Gaelic Games in Adelaide. Shamrocks club
secretary in 2001, committee member in 2002. Member of the 2001 Championship winning team.
Scott Gradwell
Debuted in 2000, scoring a goal with the year's only successful penalty
in the reserves. (He said is was a mistake, because he was actually
going for a point.) Played again in 2001.
Renee Harper
Debuted in 2001 and finished
with 5 points although played most of the season in the backs. Member
of the 2001 Queensland Championship winning team.
Nadege Holmes
Debuted in 2000 and proved a strong defender. Played one game in 2001
before joining fellow former Shamrocks player Michelle O'Malley in Co.
Meath, Ireland.
Marc Howard
A excellent promising debut
season in 2001 was cut short by an ankle injury.
Sue Hoyle
Debuted in 2000 and scored 1 point in a injury-hampered season.
Natalie Hughes
Sensational debut season in
2001, finishing as Shamrocks' fifth-leading scorer with 3 goals 27
points. Represented Queensland at the 2001 Australasian Games in
Melbourne, scoring a goal against Western Australia in the championship
final, and another against Victoria.
Hannah Humphrys
Debuted in 1999 and represented Queensland at the 1999
Australasian Games. Shamrocks award winner as Most Improved Player in
2000. Vice captain in 2001 scoring her first-ever point, and member of the 2001 Championship winning
team. Shamrocks Best & Fairest player in 2001. Represented
Queensland at the 2001 Australasian Games in Melbourne.
Scott Ingram
Characteristics and interests: I quit smoking.
I am more interesting now and somewhat less cynical.

charming, talented and modest.
Sporting Highlights: Winning the DDAFL premiership in
1995, losing the DDAFL final in 1996, kicked the ball about
40 metres in the Under 11's the wrong way. (Debuted for Shamrocks in
1998, Shamrocks seniors award winner for Most Consistent Player in
2000, and seniors Most Improved Player in 2001.
Shamrocks seniors captain in 2001, and tenth-leading scorer. Equaled
the reserves single-game goal scoring record in 2002.)
Favourite Travel Destination: I'm (used to be) a student and can't
afford to travel (and still owe club registration for 2000 and 2001).

Debuted in 1999 with one game while on holidays from Dalby. Played
regularly in 2000, and then again in 2002.
Matthew Ireland
Queensland seniors representative at
the 1998 Australasian Games - QGFA Best First Year Player
1998. Played two games for Shamrocks in 1999 - both the
seniors and reserves Brisbane Shield winning finals. Has returned to
Shamrocks in 2002.

Football Club in Kells, County Meath, one of the smallest in Ireland.
Scored a goal to win a match for Shamrocks in his debut game in 2002,
making a media splash in papers in both the northern and southern
hemispheres - see story.
Shirley
Jensen - Email
Debuted in 1999 in goals. Played again in 2000 and managed to score a
point after running (sort of) the length of the field. Shamrocks club
treasurer in 2001 and 2002. Goalkeeper for the 2001 Championship
winning team, and winner of the Most Consistent award. Retired as a
player after the 2001 season as Queensland champion, but continued as
Shamrocks club treasurer.
Craig Johnston
A consistent award winner for Shamrocks, winning the Shamrocks reserves Most Consistent Player award in 1998, 1999 and
again in 2000. Lost his consistency crown in 2001.
Greg Joyce -
Junior Joyce or J-II
The
younger and better-looking of the Shamrocks' Joyces, although has less
hair. Joined Shamrocks in 2001 after stints with John Mitchel and
Sarsfields. Finished as Shamrocks' tenth-leading scorer in 2001.
Represented Queensland at the 1999 Australasian Gaelic Games. Shamrocks
committee member in 2002.
