ABOUT MY PERSONA:

My name is Merrack Akasha Asgautr. I am the first mate of the Othel Wynn. I also happen to be a distant cousin to her captain The Lady Valeria..This is the how I ended up on the Othel Wynn and as her first mate....

I was born Merrack Akasha Brennick. I was born in the fall of 1485, into a farming family...It was said that I was quite a handful as a child and the reason why I was an only child...I was adventurous and wanted more than what our village could provide. I wanted to see the world..That's how 17 years later I ended up on the island of Gotlund..I tried my hand at several occupations, - a seamstress, a serving wench and a cook. None worked out very well. Just wasn't enough to wet my appetite for adventure...One day as I was wandering the dock with the idea of joining a boat crew when I spied the ship the Othel Wynn..I knew it was captained by my distant cousin the Lady Valeria..Unsure of what to do, that's when I saw a sign........

"RUDE, CRUDE and CORRUPTED apply within." So I did. I introduced myself to Lady Valeria and she hired me on the spot. I was to work in the galley ( when it was finished), till then I was a member of her crew... In time Lady Valeria needed a first mate, and to get that position one needed to prove oneself. Well I did the only thing I could think of. I poisoned the Captain ( not a big dose, just enough to make her sick. Really sick...thought she was going to die sick.) Well when the captain recovered and discovered that it was I who did the terrible deed she said" That was evil and diabolical.....and you are the person for the job..Got to love it when your own crew member and family member tries to kill you for your job!"


Valeria's Comments: "Merrack is a distant cousin on my Mother's side who has taken my family name since she no longer wishes to be associated with her own. She is First Mate on the Othel Wynn and has more vim and vigour than 20 men. She has a tendancy to fly into tents after a night of drinking...."
