The Day's Activities
(in addition to the main tourney and archery)
Period Insult Competition - For those interested we will have an insult competition during the day. Bring your best insults and please make sure they are period in style and language.
Treasure Hunt - Decipher the graduating clues on period nautical history to bring yourself closer to the treasure! (There will also be one ready for children!)
Captain's Challenge (or Crew's Revenge) Skirmish - This is a short but fun little fighting bit to occur AFTER the main tourney, time allowing. Our Captain will appoint a champion to defend the honour of our ship against all takers.
Bardic Challenge - During feast there will be a bardic challenge for best sea shanty or story to be judged by Head Table...bring your best song, filk, story, or ..(eep)...jokes.
Dice Games - Believe it or not dice games are very often associated with sailors during period times. Populace who are so inclined are invited to come and play, demonstrate and/or teach period dice games!
**There will be one other event occuring all throughout the day that all are invited to participate in, however, details cannot be given here for fear of ruining the surprise nature of said event. The only thing we can tell you is that it requires a sense of humour, a sense of adventure, a willingness to play act and a good sense of timing.**
