It was a beautiful fall day for a visit to the University of Tampa, as the school was celebrating its 75th anniversary.


Inside Plant Hall, a National Historic Landmark, built in 1891 as the luxurious Tampa Bay Hotel.


A plaque commemorates Babe Ruth’s longest home run. The 597-foot blast was hit in a spring training game on April 4, 1919.


Pepin-Rood Stadium may not host football, but many other events are held here. The women’s soccer team played a NCAA tournament game that evening.


A Spartan statute sits outside the Bob Martinez Sports Center.
