Classification Types
There are five different classifications:

for Target, Field, Clout and Indoor.
Target, Indoor and Field Classification
To attain a Target classificaiton an archer must shoot
during the calendar year, three target rounds equal to or higher than
the rating levels for each particular round they are shooting.
The qualification rounds to achieve a classification shall
include at least 30 arrows at the distance shown in the tables below
and be a round comprising 72 arrows or more. Further more to achieve
a GMB or MB classification, the rounds shall be the same as the rounds
shot at the National championships of Junior National championships
(or an equivalent round of longer distances).
The table hereunder provides the minimum, maximum distance
required in rounds used to gain a classification for Recurve and Compound.

Awards
All gold Medals (10 and 9) and “60” Perfect Medals are
available for all distances, including clout.

Perfect “15” Field pins: There is only one pin eligible
to be claimed in a Field Round and theses can be purchased from Club
Recorders regardless of where they are shot.
Classification Medals Target / Field
/ Clout and Indoor:
Target Badges are Bronze with a target face in
the background for 2nd and 3rd class. 1st class is black with a white
class insert.
Field Badges are Silver with a field face in the
background and white class insert.
Clout Badges are Silver with a yellow triangle
in the background and white class insert.
Indoor Badges are Bronze with a target face in
the background for 2nd and 3rd class. 1st class is black with a grey
class insert.
1st, 2nd and 3rd class badges can be purchased
from your club recorder. For Master Bowmen and Grand Master Bowmen badges
a special form must be filled in and forwarded to the National Recorder
through the State Society Recorder for registration. The first year
this status is achieved a Badge is awarded. For future years an insert
with the year is awarded by the National Association and a Certificate
of Achievement awarded by the society.
FITA Star Awards:
These awards are granted when competitors achieve the
relevant score for the first time in an appropriate event at a FITA
sanctioned tournament, hosted by member associations in Outdoor Target
Archery.

FITA Arrowhead Awards:
These awards provided for the discipline of field archery,
for Barebow, Olympic and Compound divisions. Most arrowhead events shot
in NSW are 12T or 2 x 12T or 2 x 24T, therefore only those are listed
below, and can be claimed at any Arrowhead status events.
