
Grading
Going up in rank shows how far you have gotten, it shows how well you will be respected, and it shows how much knowlege you have obtained. This list shows what each level of skill should know.
WHITE BELTS (10th grade): Every student starts out as a white belt.
WHITE BELTS WITH YELLOW STRIPES (9th grade): They need to know Four Directional Punch and For Directional Block. They also should know basic exercises(push-ups, sit-ups, running in place, and straddle hops.)
YELLOW BELTS (8th grade): Needs to know Chon-ji as well as previous forms. Needs to know 3 step sparring. Some instrucors will ask students to do free sparring, and brake a board with a snap kick(but that is not a requirment.)
YELLOW BELTS WITH GREEN STRIPES (7th grade): Needs to know Dan Gun as well as all previous forms. Keep up with exercises.
GREEN BELTS (6th grade): Needs to know Do San as well as all previous forms. Needs to know 3 step and two step sparring. Needs to do free sparring, and to be able to brake through a board.
GREEN BELTS WITH BLUE STRIPES (5th grade): Needs to know Won Hyo as well as all previous forms. Needs to be able to brake through a board.
BLUE BELTS (4th grade): Needs to know Yul Gok as well as all previous forms. Needs to know 2 step and 1 step sparring. Needs to go through two boards.
BLUE BELTS WITH RED STRIPES (3rd grade): Needs to know Joong Gun as well as all previous forms. Needs to go through two boards. Needs to do free sparring.
RED BELTS (2nd grade): Needs to know Toi Gye as well as all previous forms. Needs to go through two boards as well as punch through a board. Free sparring.
RED BELTS WITH BLACK STRIPES (1st grade): Needs to know Four Directional Thrust and Hwa Rang as well as all previous forms. Needs to go through two boards as well as fly through boards. Free sparring.
BLACK BELTS (first degree): Needs to know Choong Moo as well as all previous forms. They also will brake through 3 boards with a flying side kick. Needs to know self defence. Needs to do free sparring. Needs to know turning kicks.
BLACK BELTS (second degree): Needs to know Kwang Gae, Po Eun, and Ge Baek (as well as all previous forms). They also need to have knowlege about power. Should be able to brake through boards with at least 8 different techneques (and a couple of the stations should be 3 boards thick).
