Rock Maivia became the WWF's first third-generation superstar when he entered the federation at 1996's Survivor Series, where he defeated both Crush and Goldust to be the single survivor of his team.
The Rock became the youngest ever Intercontinental champion on February '97 when he defeated HHH. Many said that he had gained too much, too soon and the fans turned on him.
After a stint with the Nation and a reign as a fan favourite, The Rock joined Vince McMahon;s Corporation and became WWF Champion at 1998's Survivor Series. He spent late '98 and early '99 fueding with Mankind, in which he lost and won the title a few times, The Rock lost his title to Steve Austin at WrestleMania XV, and later left the Corporation. He's currently one of the most cocky and arrogant athletes in sports entertainment today, and also one of the best.
