It's been nearly a month since I have written here. I was busy working all of December but some interesting stuff happened. I was really sick at the beginning of the month with a cold...possibly the flu. On December 11th, I came home and my mom told me someone had called for me. I recognized the number but kinda forgot who it belonged to. And then I found out it was Megan. I have to say I was shocked. The last time she had called me was in August of 2002...almost 16 months ago. I had absolutely no clue why she would be calling me now. I was happy. But I was also a bit confused. I came online to see she had left me a message on IM too. It was too late to call her back. The next day, I chatted with her online for a little bit. Apparently, she and Adam wanted to have some kind of reunion with some of the people that we worked with at Dorney Park. So, I'm assuming that's the only reason she called me. I really didn't think she missed me or wanted to hang out with me or anything...I was hopeful but hope seems to be such an empty word.
That Saturday, I went out with Jen, Dennis, his girlfriend, Chad, and his girlfriend. We went to Friendly's for dinner. The following day, it snowed. The rest of the month was pretty much work. Jen and I went out to eat a few times and we saw a few movies too. We saw Something's Gotta Give, Mona Lisa Smile, and I went to see Lord of the Rings by myself since she didn't want to see it. On the 19th, I called Megan but there was no answer. I left a message but didn't hear from her again. I was so busy with work that I didn't get to go Christmas shopping. So I went out on the 23rd after work and the store was packed. So I went again on the 24th before work and during my break to finish up. I am always such a last minute person.
For Christmas, we went out for our annual family lunch that my gram takes us to. It was a buffet and I was a piggy. I had salad, soup, 2 plates of hot food, and 3 pieces of pie/cheesecake/cake. After that, we went home and took a nap. Then Jen and I exchanged presents. She bought me some clothes, which I needed, a new hat, and candy. On the 26th, I was having an easy day at work until around 15 minutes before I left. I was collecting shopping carts and saw my ex girlfriend Mary. I can't be 100% positive it was her since I haven't seen her in 5 years but it looked exactly like her. That should have been a sign...almost like a black cat. Minutes later, when I came in to punch out, the manager told me it was my last day because they were laying off the seasonal people. That kinda sucked.
For New Year's, Jen and I hung out at my house and munched some snacks. We went to Ruby Tuesday's around 10 or so because Jen wanted some alcohol...she is such a heavy drinking boozer. :-p JK! Well anyways, we had this homosexual server who seemed really pissed off cuz he was kinda rude and not really bothering with us much. I got a little appetizer sampler with cheesesticks, chicken tenders, and cheese fries. Didn't get much for the price. Oh well...we went back home and watched that gay ball drop. New Year's is overrated to me...just another holiday made up to give people an excuse to get drunk and party...hehe.
This past Saturday, January 3rd, Jen and I went to see Cheaper By the Dozen. It was pretty good. On Sunday, watched some football and then went to Ruby's again with Jen. No mean gay guy this time though. We had Anita as our server & she is the cutest waitress in the joint. :o) Today I woke up to go with my dad because he dropped his car off to get it fixed. So I drove him home. We stopped and ate lunch at the diner on the way home. Some cute girl came in with some bonehead and that made me chuckle. So many attractive girls end up with boneheads and a variety of other morons. Well, whatever....they can't all be lucky enough to snag me. :o) This dude had his hat sideways and was wearing sandals with socks in the cold, pouring rain...ummm...yeah. And then he is trying to remember the name of the movie "where Jack Nicholson is schizophrenic or something". The old guy who was sitting near them gets up to leave and tells him the movie is "It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This" to which bonehead agrees. Old guy claims he has the movie and 100 others at home. Well, first off, the movie was "As Good As It Gets". And secondly, I am pretty sure JN had OCD in it but maybe I'm wrong and he had other problems too. I dunno. Around 4 or 5 tonight, I had to go help my mom bring our new TV home. That was one heavy mother f&^%$er!! Anyways...that's all for now...peace out my homies!
