NJ Cheerleader Dies in Hawaii - CLICK 4 FULL STORY & PHOTO - Not sure if anyone has heard about this. An 18 year old captain of the cheerleading squad at Randolph High School (NJ) went to Hawaii to join about 600 other cheerleaders from across the country at the halftime show of the Hula Bowl. It was just the beginning of her weeklong vacation and she somehow fell naked from a 9th floor hotel balcony early Monday morning. An autopsy found alcohol in her system but police do not suspect foul play or sexual assault. Police did arrest 2 men who were registered to the room but later released them. They said the girl was in their room when they fell asleep. It's kind of sad but I didn't know her or anything. I just skimmed over a message board on the story and it is really unbelievable how horrible some people can be. Most of the posts were saying how this girl was a whore just like all cheerleaders and she got what she deserved. They also made jokes about her not being able to fly and how it was a real waste of a hot chick. It's really sad how cruel people are but I guess I should be used to it by now because that's the majority of our population. I, just like most guys in high school, always think the cheerleaders are cute. This girl was pretty too. As far as her being a whore or whatever...I don't know. I know A LOT of girls are sluts and I've heard from people that a lot of cheerleaders fit in that category. I don't know for sure so I can't comment either way. But she was in a hotel room with 2 guys she just met and was apparently drinking. Not proof that anything sexual happened but I'm guessing it is likely. I guess there's no way to know for sure what happened unless the police figure it out but I'm just curious how 2 guys fall asleep when they have a cute, 18 year old, drunk, naked cheerleader in their room with them...hmmm.

Columbine Anniversary Shooting Plot Foiled - Such a crazy world we live in. "Two high school students were arrested and accused of creating an elaborate plan to re-create the bloody Columbine high school massacre on its five-year anniversary in April." The stupid thing is that both of them said it was a fantasy and a joke that they never planned to go through with. First off, you don't make a joke out of a situation like that unless you are a complete idiot and heartless bastard. That's like going on an airplane a week after 9/11 and saying you have a bomb. But, in reality, it was no joke. These psychos were obviously serious about it. They had pictures and very detailed drawings of what they planned to do. One was of a student blowing the brains out of a teacher and another showed the kids celebrating on the rooftop as dead bodies hung out of the windows. They also had poems about being bullied and referring to themselves as "The Trenchcoat Mafia". And to top it off, they had been looking for ways to buy guns. These kids need to be hung from their balls and be beaten to death.

Billy the Kid Wasn't Killed??? - This interested me because I was a huge fan of "Young Guns", a movie about Billy the Kid, when I was younger. History says that the famous outlaw, William Bonney aka Billy the Kid, was shot and killed in 1881 by Sheriff Pat Garrett. But now the case has been reopened by New Mexico authorities. Someone came forward and claimed he heard from Garrett's widow 63 years ago that the body found was not Bonney's. It is now being said that the body was some drunk who was killed by Garrett & Bonney to fake his death and leave him relatively free. Seems kind of odd that it has taken so long for anything to be said about this. It is rumored that Bonney and Garrett were friends prior to Garrett being made sheriff. I don't know. It's possible. Maybe we'll know more in a little while but for now, it seems like just a tall tale.

Lost Lottery Ticket?? - Two women claimed to have won a $162 million lottery...unfortunately for one of them, she had no ticket. Elecia Battle said she lost the ticket outside of a convenience store and a small crowd with flashlights soon gathered in the snowy parking lot in search of it. Another woman, Rebecca Jemison, who had the winning ticket, came forward to claim her winnings. The debate is over whether Jemison bought her ticket or actually found the ticket supposedly lost by the Battle. Jemison showed a previous ticket on which she had played the same numbers. Battle immediately filed suit Tuesday seeking to halt any payout to the winner. Jemison took her winnings in an immediate lump sum of $94 million, before taxes. After taxes, it will be worth an estimated $67.2 million. Battle filed a police report saying she dropped her purse as she left the store after buying the ticket. She said she realized after the drawing last Tuesday that the ticket was missing and told police that the numbers she picked represented family birthdays and ages. My take on this is...I lost my ticket too so give me some money. Seriously, if you buy a ticket for a drawing that huge, whether you believe you will win or not, you are not going to lose your ticket AND then not realize it until after the drawing. With a pot that big, you might staple the ticket to your forehead just to be safe.

September 11th, 2001 - (previously posted in late '01) I guess I'll start off with something that everybody knows about and that is the terrorist attacks on September 11th. By now, I assume everyone knows about it, unless of course you are living in a cave somewhere. And I'm actually starting to wonder about some of you...you don't call, you don't write...oops, off topic. So on that morning, both towers of the WTC were slammed into by hijacked planes. On that particular day, I actually was attending a party...kind of ironic, huh? But let me just say I am not a horrible person and I do feel sad and upset about all of the people who lost their lives. The people in the planes, in the towers, the firefighters, rescue workers, families of those lost, and anyone else affected...my heart goes out to them. And now more people have died due to Anthrax...this all pretty much sucks. Not to mention jobs lost at the WTC, airlines, and travel destinations as a result. And we also have to deal with all of the wackos coming out of the woodworks making bomb threats and whatnot. President Bush is leading a war on terrorism & Osama bin Laden and the country has come together. Now here is the problem. This country is banding together and everybody has gone all "patriotic" since the attacks...but what about before? And what about 5 years down the road? It's a good thing that the country is coming together but really, shouldn't it be that way all of the time? Before this happened, I didn't see flags waving and people caring as much...that is sad. It takes some kind of tragedy for people to show that they love their country. Or do they? If these people didn't wave their flags before and care about other people, why now? Maybe it is just because they want to appear to be patriotic. I honestly don't know. Some people might actually care but I think many of them don't. Sure, you see tons of NYPD and FDNY hats on people's heads now but where was the support for these rescue workers before??? It's not like the firefighters don't risk their lives every single freaking day to rescue people but how much did people care then? Some did but not the mass amounts of hypocrites that do now. I'm sorry but this is like acting as though you love someone who has just died when you never even talked to them while they were alive. Bottom line...patriotism is alive for now and that's great but how much of it will last and is actually heartfelt...we'll see.
