The Championship game for the women was between Vickie Herrington of Gosport and Carol Donaldson of Spencer. Carol had a lead of nine points at the end of the fourth frame. Carol stretched her lead to eleven, with four points in the fifth frame. Vickie never gave up staying within seven to ten points for the next fourteen frames. Vickie closed it to within five points in the twentieth frame. With two frames to go the score was only a ringer apart. The last two frames Vickie got three single points to Carol's four. Carol lead from start to finish to become the Grand Champion by only four points 118 to 114.

The Championship game for the men was a barn burner. George McGinnis of Indianapolis and Harold Brune of Fountaintown started off tied for the first three frames. Harold took the lead by 4 in the fourth. He expanded it to eleven at the end of six. The game was tied again in the tenth frame. Harold took a one point lead in the twelfth through fourteenth frames. George took the lead by one in the fifteenth. Harold and George swapped leading until the nineteenth frame. George built the lead up to four in the twenty-second frame. They were tied in the twenty-third frame. Harold took a two point lead with one frame to go. George threw first getting four points. Harold only needed three points in the final frame to win. Harold achieved that, winning the game 114 to 113 to become the Grand Champion for 2000.
