Keane set to choose Juve switch 18/11/1999

Italian sources claim Manchester United skipper Roy Keane is set to sign a pre-contract agreement with Juventus. If the news proves to be correct it will come as a huge blow to United who had strong hopes of holding on to their influential captain. Ever since the 28-year-old Republic of Ireland ace refused to commit himself to United until after next summer there has been a scramble for his signature on the continent. And, it now seems that Juventus have held off the advances from Serie A rivals Inter Milan and Lazio, as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid, to capture Keane's signature on January 1 when he can sign a pre-contract agreement. If Keane's move to Turin materialises it is believed that he will earn a monumental £16million over a four-year period.
