The
''Athletic Union Kition'' AEK was established on 18/7/1994 after the decision
of the two general assemblies of the historical football clubs Pezoporikos
and Epa.The decision was finalized of the majority of the people in Larnaca
to unite their strength and create an athletic club ready to play an important
role in all athletic events,thus making the people of Larnaca very proud.The
colors of AEK are green and yellow.As a logo the team has adopted the ancient
bust of general Kimon who diet fighting against the Persians on the coast
of Larnaca in 500 B.C.
