Directions to Fairfield field:
- Get on I65 going NORTH
- Take the exit for I59/I20 SOUTH/WEST towards TUSCALOOSA. (Its a left)
- Get off I59/I20 at exit 118 (Valley Rd)
- Take a right at the end of the off ramp. DO NOT follow sign to "Fairfield". GO RIGHT.
- You should pass 2 stop-lights and go under a railroad track
- Immediately after going under the railroad tracks there will be a small road on the left. Take this left (Millstead Rd.)
- You should pass back over I59 and then eventually see the corner of the field high above on your right
- Take a right and find parking for the field. If you reach a "T" in the road you have gone too far. Go back and look for the field up high on the left now.. (You may see a sign for Glen Crest or Glen Oaks which can only be seen from this direction)
- If you get lost, ask some little kids (which are always running around there) where the fields are. They will know.
Directions to Grantswood field:
- [These directions assume that you are coming from the west]
- Head East(/North) on I459 from I65 or 280
- Get off I459 at the Grantsmill Rd Exit
- Take a left at the top of the off-ramp (over I459)
- Take your first right on Grantswood Rd (If you get to Old Leeds Rd you went too far)
- After a mile or so you will see the Grantswood Elementary School on your left
- You won't see the soccer field from the road. Park the car and walk behind the school towards the left and you'll see it.
Directions to the Hoover Met Fields:
- [From UAB] Get on I65 going SOUTH (towards the Galleria Mall)
- Take the I459 Exit going SOUTH (towards the Galleria Mall)
- Pass the Galleria and get off I459 at Exit 10 (Hoover Met Stadium exit)
- At the end of the off ramp go left
- [From this point on, you can follow the signs to the Hoover Met]
- At the THIRD stop light take a right on Stadium Trace.
- Go into the Hoover Met parking lot and double back towards
the soccer fields which are on your left.
Directions to Irondale Field:
- [From UAB] Get on I65 NORTH
- Take the I20 Exit EAST towards Atlanta (It may be I59/I20)
- You will pass the Birmingham Airport
- I20 will split from I59.. MAKE SURE you get on I20 EAST towards Atlanta!
- Get off I20 at the Old Leeds Road Exit
- [Just before the exit you will see the soccer field from the highway, on your right.]
- Take a right at the end of the off ramp
- [From here on: If you see signs for "Buddy's Marina", follow them]
- Next, Take your first right.
- Take your first right, again.
- You will go up a big hill, then down a big hill
- At the end of this road you will see Buddy's Marina and the Irondale soccer fields.
Directions to Liberty Park:
- [These directions assume that you are coming from the west]
- Head East(/North) on I459 from I65 or 280
- Get off I459 at the Liberty Parkway exit (you should see the statue of liberty)
- Turn right at top of ramp and head right on Liberty Parkway (towards the statue of liberty)
- Continue straight on a winding road for 2-4 miles.
- You should see signs for the sports facilities and fields (Take a right at the appropriate sign)
- (If you hit a "T" in the road you have gone too far. Turn around, or be lost forever!!)
- After the right, continue straight until you see the soccer fields. They are last (after softball and other fields).
- The soccer field may be difficult to see from the road, just ask one of the 200 people taking their dog for a dump
Directions to McClendon field:
- Get on I65 going NORTH
- Take the exit for I59/I20 SOUTH (WEST?) towards TUSCALOOSA. (Its a left)
- Get off I59/I20 at the first exit (Arkadelphia Rd.)
- Take a left at the top of the off ramp
- You will pass Birmingham Southern College on your right
- Take a left on 8th Ave North(Bush Blvd) (Its the first light after B'ham Southern College)
- After a block or so you should see Legion Field (Football stadium)
- The entrance to the soccer field will be on your right through a gate
Directions to Ramsey field:
- [From east of city: Head WEST on Montclair road till you see the field on your left (take a left on Country Club Rd.)]
- [From UAB: Get on University Boulevard(8th Avenue) going EAST, AWAY from I65, towards Irondale]
- [From west of city: Get on I-65, Get off at University Boulevard(8th Avenue) Exit]
- From University Boulevard, take a right on 24th Street(Niazuma Avenue)
- Follow 24th/Niazuma up a huge hill, then down the hill a bit
- You will soon see Ramsey field on your right (take a right on Country Club Rd.)
Directions to the Wahouma fields:
- Get on 1st Ave North going East (Away from I65)
- (From UAB: Head downtown on almost any street (e.g. 20th) till you hit 1st Ave North and take a right)
- Stay on 1st Ave North till you hit 71st Street
- Take a Left on 71st Street
- Drive a block or two and you should see the soccer fields on your left
Directions to Weygand Field:
- [From UAB] Get on I65 going SOUTH
- Get off I65 at the Oxmoor Road Exit.
- The off ramp will put you on Oxmoor Road going West.
- Stay on Oxmoor Road (which should now be called West Oxmoor Road)
- You will eventually pass West Homewood Park on your left (You can see the tennis courts from the road)
- About half a mile after West Homewood Park you will see Weygand Field just off the road on your left.
- If you hit Lakeshore Drive, you have gone too far.
