CIGARBOY INTERVIEWS LANCE MCALISTER

[CIGARBOY AND McALISTER]CigarBoy visits 1360 Homer's Lance McAlister and they talk about the Lance's family, the Reds, college basketball, MLB Baseball and even manage to take a few shots at soccer.

Calling Lance to get an interview is about as hard as eating a donut. He is always more than willing to make himself available whenever I call him. It may have something to do with he is always calling people to be interviewed, so when he gets the call he knows what I am going through. We arrange to meet at the 1360 studio in the Clear Channel Broadcast Center in Mt. Adams, neighborhood in Cincinnati.

When I get there I can't figure how to get up to the fifth floor studio. I have done it before, but this time I can't figure it out. I call up to the studio phone on my cell phone. Lance tells me to wait in the lobby and he will be right down. He comes down and we head up to the studio for some photos. After the photos we head to a conference room to do the interview and take more photos.[McALISTER]

Lance handles the interview with ease. He kicks back in the chair and waits for the questions to begin. He is really on top of his game today. He rolls through the eighty-minute interview like he knew the questions before I asked them. He is probably the smoothest interview I have ever done. I think one of the reasons I like him so much is that his out look on sports is similar to mine. He likes the same sports I like and he roots for the same teams I do. He did the same things as a kid I did. I love passion and he has passion.

If you live within fifty miles of Cincinnati and are a sports fan, then you should listen to Lance McAlister. He is atop the CigarBoy radio listening list. If you don't live in the Cincy area, just enjoy the interview and you can still catch him on the weekends on WLW. You will be entertained for three hours each day and you can even learn a few things. He has great guests, but I could listen to him everyday and never miss hearing a guest or caller. He is that entertaining! You can find him on 1360 AM weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. He also does the Reds pre-game show on WLW 700 AM on the weekends.
