Equipment:
Mats
30 - 40 index cards with various pictures on them. Should include pencils, logs, and eggs. You also need cards with pictures of tootsie rolls, dinner rolls, hotdog rolls, etc.
Lesson:
Students should have some knowledge of the rolls
to be performed and what they are called, if not give them time to practice
before starting this lesson.
Place the cards upside down scattered around
the room. On your signal the students will perform a designated locomotor
skill, skipping, galloping, a chasse', etc. around the room. As they move
around the room, they will stop and pick up a card decide whether it is
a roll they have practiced and then put it back face down.
