The Wings defeated the Bisons in a comeback thriller in front of the 5,647 fans who braved the rain to watch this one. The Wings fell behind early, as Buffalo gained a 7-1 lead after five as they roughed up Curtis. Things changed quickly late as the Wings had a huge eighth inning.

Lee and Lydy capitalized on Bison fielding blunders in the eighth. Lee hit the ball to the right side of second and Wilson for Buffalo pulled their shortstop off the base with a high throw to tie things up at seven. Then Lydy hit the ball to third and Lovello misplayed the ball as it went under his legs and two runs scored to give the Wing the 9-7 lead which would hold.

A variety of positive efforts were abundant for the Wings, as Lydy and Forbes had three hit days. The Wings relief was also perfect as Snyder and Montgomery combined for 4 1/3 perfect innings. The Wings now hit the road after a successful homestand as they play a DH in Buffalo. Doc Gooden will start one of the games for the Bisons.
