Threatening skies loomed prior to the game, as they did all day today. I think the 4,220 in attendence along with the players would agree they would have preferred a downfall of rain, as the Wings got trounced. Starter Gallaher lasted 1/3 of an inning, as he walked three batters in the first, which set up a Pawtucket grand slam. He allowed six earned runs.

Pawtucket had three homeruns during the game and Curtis was the lone reliever of the five not to allow a run. While the pitching was brutal, the hitting was almost equally pathetic, as the team only had three hits. No real positives to speak of in this one, just a horrible game.

Luckily, the Wings can forget this one quickly, with a 12:15 business persons special tomorrow at Frontier against the PawSox. The Wings do have a free shuttle bus running tomorrow (as the main Kodak lots won't be avaliable for obvious reasons), from a variety of garages including the East End Garage, Midtown, the Civic Center and South Ave.
