The Wings struggles contined as they dropped yet another game to the PawSox with an afternoon crowd of 5,517 who braved a drizzle filled day at Frontier. Rodriguez's problems continued with the longball, as he gave up two homeruns today. He pitched three no hit innings, then allowed six runs during the next 2 2/3 innings. Mahay relieved him and seemed to struggle with his control, though he only gave up a run in 2 1/3 and Montgomery did pitch a perfect inning.
Offensively Forbes had a strong day going 2-4 with two RBI's as he drove in the Wings first two runs. He had a double and a triple. Otherwise, the offense was much less than potent yet again. Two Pawtucket errors did also spur on some Wings offense though, including a misplayed ball in leftfield by Hurst (who more than made up for it with two homeruns) that gave the Wings their fourth run giving them their shortlived lead.
The Wings now hit the road and hope to get things turned around after a 1-3 homestand.
