Columbus, Ohio: The Red Wings started on a bright note with Kelley Grubber hitting a homerun to take a 1-0 lead. Then a game of lead changes occured, Columbus took a 2-1 lead in the 4th, then the Wings put 4 more on the board in the 5th to take a 5-2 lead. Columbus was up to the task of matching the number of runs the Wings put on the board in the 5th to take a 6-5 lead. The Wings tied in back up in the 7th, but in the bottom of that inning Columbus took the lead to stay 7-6

Jimmy Haynes started, but Yan took the loss allowing the final two runs. Kelley Gruber was the only Wing with a home run and Ricky Ledee had Columbus's lone homer. The Wings will hope to come back with a victory tommorrow night in Columbus again.
