Rochester: 6 Scranton: 3

The Wings played a thriller at Frontier in front of a very respectable crowd of 4,234 (as the weather was pretty unfavorable, drizzle with temps at 36 through most of the game). In what was scheduled to be a DH (game 2 was canned due to the weather) the Wings fell behind early, as the Barons took a 1-0 lead in the first scoring with two outs off of Krivda. The Wings then tied it in the third off of a deep fly that drove in the tieing run. Scranton again took the lead in the 6th, but the Wings matched that with a hit in the 7th (final inning due to it being a scheduled DH). Again Scranton took a one run lead off of Yan in the top of the eigth. The Wings then won this in dramatic fashion. Grubber opened up the inning with a triple and was then came in with a wild pitch and then with men at first and third the Wings BJ Waszgis came through yet again. He will once again go in the Frontier first's book with the Wings first ever homer and game winning RBI as the three run homer won the game 6-3.

Very impressive pitching from Krivda and Yan, this brings the Wings record to 4-6, and as mentioned game 2 of the DH was canned so the series finishes at a 1-1 split. The Wings will now venture off to Syracuse for two games before returning home again.
