Wings Swept

Well, the Wings managed to do something that they did in the previous three weeks in one night, which is lose two games as they got swept in front of 6,123 fans who braved a threatening night with occasional sprinkles. In game one, Doug Johns started and pitched pretty well going five innings allowing two runs. Unfortunately Ramirez could not hold the 3-2 lead and suffered the loss in the 5-3 defeat. There were only two earned runs for Richmond as Ojeda made three errors at short. Clyburn did have a two run homerun, the Wings only had four hits in game one.

Again, the Wings could get absolutely nothing going as Matos had one hit, Clyburn had two and that was it. Schrenk was the tough luck loser pitching a complete game, striking out six and walking none. The PawSox beat Toledo, so they now trail the Wings by 4 1/2 games. The Wings go at it again at Frontier tomorrow.
