The Wings fell to Columbus at Frontier in front of 11,062 fans. The Clippers got on the board first via a Mike Lowell solo homerun. Columbus then took a 2-0 lead in the fourth, but at the bottom of the inning the Wings tied it when Waszgis singled in Clyburn. The Clippers then scored three in the top of the ninth to put the game out of reach and they took it 5-1.
Schrenk once again was the tough luck loser as he allowed two runs in seven innings. He also suffered two past defeats receiving minimal support from the lineup (something few other pitchers have had a problem of lately). Bennett pitched 1 1/3 innings allowing a run and Steph allowed two runs in 2/3 innings. It is the first time in a while relief has not done the job (though it did not matter). Bullett was the only Wing with a two hit day. The PawSox lost so the Wings lose zero ground. The Wings finish of the homestand tomorrow against Columbus.
