The Wings took the three game series in Toledo by winning the third game by the score of 5-4 in Toledo. No one on the Wings had more than one hit, but BJ Waszgis's three run shot was the most important and led him to a four RBI day. Schrenk started and pitched alright (the longball hurt him, as he allowed three), ironically it was the first time in three efforts that the club did not lose with him on the mound (he did not factor in the decision) despite it being his worst effort in the last three (5 innings, 4 runs). The bullpen was perfect as Bennett pitched 2 1/2 scoreless innings (earning the win) and Steph came on for the save.
The Wings play in Columbus tomorrow as the Wings will face Irabu and Coppinger will be on the mound for the Wings. The PawSox won, so the lead remains at 6 1/2 games.
