Rochester: 5 Columbus: 2

The Wings bounced back quickly with a 5-2 win at Cooper Stadium. Mike Berry had a superb day going 4-5 with 2 RBI's and Tommy Davis also had a fine day with three hits. Yan started but did not receive a decision as he lasted six innings allowing two runs (and the Wings scored three in the eighth which broke the tie). Ramirez pitched three hitless innings in relief and earned the win.

The Wings did leave twelve men on base and could have scored many more (as the Columbus staff walked six), but luckily it did not make a difference. The Wings extend their lead to seven games as Scranton beat up on Pawtucket. The Wings finish their series in Columbus tomorrow and they will then return home for three games.
