The Wings take yet another series from Syracuse and also clinch a playoff spot with a 7-5 win to the delight of 10,547 fans at Frontier. Syracuse took the early lead, but the Wings came right back thanks to three long balls. Lou Frazier hit his first homerun of the season plus Waszgis and Laker followed in the later innings. PJ Forbes also had a strong day at the plate spurring on the win. Yan started and improved his record to 11-4.

It was a good day regarding the out of town scoreboard also, as both Pawtucket and Scranton lost. The Wings lead is now extended to eight games and they have clinched a playoff spot thanks to the Scranton loss. The Wings now take a long trip down the thru-way to Syracuse for a two game set. On an attendance releated note, the Wings will most likely surpass their all-time attendance record with their next home game!
