Rochester: 3 Syracuse: 2

The Wings came back yet again against Syracuse to take a 3-2 win at Price Champion Stadium. The Skychiefs took a 1-0 lead in the second as Rich Aude drove one to left field. The SkyChiefs then took a 2-0 lead as Patzke drove one through the middle to drive in the second run. Things could have been worse if it wasn't for a superb play in the outfield by Bullett. The Wings then left the bases loaded in the seventh inning and the Skychiefs closer Robinson came in.

Tommy Davis then took Robinson deep to cut the lead to one. Then Bullett doubled to drive in the equalizer and Otanez followed with a double down the left field line driving in Bullett which was the winning run. Rodriguez pitched seven solid innings earning the win and Corbin pitched two scoreless innings to earn the save.

The PawSox did win so the lead remains at eight games for the Wings. I did attend the game and can honestly say that IMHO we are much better off with Frontier. I will soon have a page up documenting my feelings about the park. The Wings continue the series in Syracuse tomorrow.
