Luckily the rain ended prior to game time today and there was no problem getting the game in. The Wings took todays game by the score of 7-3 in front of 8.074 fans at Frontier. PJ Forbes homered early for the Wings to tie the game at 1. Holbert homered for Toledo, but then the Wings took over. Strong days from Tommy Davis, Francisco Matos and Danny Clyburn spurred the Wings on to a 7-3 win. Williams was strong after allowing a couple early runs to earn the win and Shouse was superb in relief.
The PawSox did not play today, so the Wings cut the magic number to clinch the title to six games. The Wings continue the series tomorrow against Toledo, and it is another fireworks night.
