Toledo: 10 Rochester: 2

The Mud Hens avoided the sweep by beating the Wings 10-2 on a beautiful day at Frontier in front of a sell-out crowd of 12,224. Toledo took things away early from the Wings with a first inning homer by Catalanotto to right field. Montgomery made his first start for the Wings and allowed five runs in five innings. Matos did hit a two run homer giving the Wings their offense. Bennett did allow five ninth inning runs, but it easily could have been a 1-2-3 inning, but some hesitation on the part of the fielding in two instances caused that situation (I thought that should be pointed out, as it does not show up in the scorecard).

The PawSox did lose, so this cuts the Wings magic number to three. The Wings have an off day tommorrow, before returning for a two day, regular season ending homestand. Also, barring no rain outs, the Wings will surpass the 500,000 mark, as they are under 13,000 away.
