Scranton: 7 Rochester: 5

The Red Barons took advantage of a misplayed ball in the ninth to earn a 7-5 win in front of yet another sell-out crowd at Frontier of 12,713 (they added blechers for tonights affair). The Wings played catch-up much of the night and took a 5-4 lead via an Otanez homerun in the sixth. Scranton then tied it and in the ninth Bill Swift walked two batters and then Bullett misplayed a ball in the outfield (though the Barons would have likely gotten the first run in) and both players scored. The Wings comeback hopes were wiped out in the ninth with a double play and Scranton took both games in front of huge crowds at Frontier.

The Wings 500,000 fan came through the gates at just after 6 today and he was given quite a few prizes (like two season tickets, a trip to Toronto, a jersey and he got to throw the first pitch). The Wings drew over 512,000 fans for the regular season overtaking the IL attendance lead and surpassing expectations despite the cold weather early on. Also the Wings tripled their revenue from food sales at Silver this year earning three million dollars, one million more than expected. It has certainly been a extremely successful year at the gate for the Wings!

The PawSox beat up on the lowly SkyCheifs once again today so they have crept to within three games of the Wings and the Wings magic number remains at three. The Wings now have a five game road trip to finish the season with three in Scranton and two in Syracuse.
