Scranton: 5 Rochester: 2

The Wings troubles against the Red Barons continued tonight, as they dropped a 5-2 decision in Scranton. Doug Johns suffered his first defeat of the season allowing three earned runs (four total) in seven innings. The Wings offense was again fairly limited. Clyburn hit a homerun in the seventh as he lined the ball over the wall. Bullett then hit a ball which appeared to be a homerun in that inning, with the umpire ruled foul, though the Wings bullpen greatly debated the call saying it did hit the pole. The Wings then brought a run across in the ninth and threatened with men on first and third, but Waszgis could not take advantage as he popped up and the Barons took the game.

Clyburn was the lone Wing with a multiple hit day, as he had three hits including the homerun. Steph again had a shakey outing again allowing a run and two hits in the inning he pitched. The PawSox did lose at McCoy to Columbus, dropping the Wings magic number to two. The Wings will try to rectify this losing streak as they play Scranton for the last time this tomorrow.
