Rochester: 3 Richmond: 2

Another extra inning thriller was delievered at Frontier Field on a chilly day in front of 4,407. The Wings took a early lead in the first 2-0. Then Jimmy Haynes sparkled as he cruised through most of the game untill the top of the seventh (the last inning for a DH). He loaded up the bases with two outs and was pulled after what was still a great outing. Brian Williams came in and allowed a base hit that fell shallow in the outfield that allowed two runs to score to tie it. Williams then got out of the inning and pitched well in the next two. Then in the bottom of the ninth BJ Waszgis again came through with late inning heroics, with a homerun to win it!

The Wings now have pulled into a tie with the PawSox, unfortunately, that stay would not be long lived, as Richmond put a end to their six game winning streak in Game 2.
