Well, another tough one in Columbus. Amazing how I worried about them being able to score runs and thought they would have great pitching and in two games they have allowed 16 runs and scored 11. I guess I am off base thus far!
Anyways, back to the game, the Wings again got on the board first scoring two in the first. Tolentino hit the lone homer for the Wings in the first. Columbus then clawed back into it and then went ahead, scoring a run in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th innings. The Clippers blew the game open when they then scored two runs in each the fifth and sixth innings. The Wings did score two themselves in the sixth. This made the score 7-4, the Wings did come within two in the top half of the 8th, though Columbus put it away in the bottom of the eigth with two more runs.
Nerio Rodriguez took the loss in his first start of the season and Dave Eiland took the win. Columbus hit 4 home runs powering the victory. The Wings will try to win their first of the season tommorrow, again in Columbus.
