Rochester: 16 Syracuse: 8

A real wild one occured at Frontier today to say the very least. Syracuse got off to a quick start, with Evans hitting a homerun to help spur on a five run inning. At that point you would tend to think it would be a tough one for the Wings, but they quickly changed their fate! Danny Clyburn hit a three run homerun to make it 5-3 after one. The Wings came within one run as they made it 5-4 in the second, but the SkyChiefs scored a run in the third and fourth to make it 7-4.

In the fifth the Wings bats took over! The Wings put six runs on the board in the fifth to make it 10-7. The SkyChiefs then came within two in the top of the sixth, but not to be outdone the Wings put four more on the board spurred by yet another Danny Clyburn homerun making it 14-8! The Wings put two more on the board in the eighth to make it 16-8, which was the final!

The Wings poured on 16 runs on 15 hits and were also helped by 5 Syracuse errors. The Wings starter Shrenk had a tough outing, but Ramirez and Shouse had good outings in relief. Also Danny Clyburn had two homeruns and 8 RBI's. PJ Forbes also had a good day with 3 hits and 3 RBI's. The Wings now have a 21/2 game lead in first and have won six in a row and 12 of 14! The Wings now will venture out on a long road trip.
