Well, I guess the Wings were well overdue for a stinker, and obviously the score pretty much says it all! The Wings were bad today in every aspect, three errors, two hits for and the pitching staff combined to allow 11 runs (7 earned) on 15 hits! Schrenk started and Richmond scattered a few runs early but the game got way out of hand with a seven run fifth. In fairness to the staff, the eleven runs were off of Yan and Schrenk while Steph and Shouse pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings (the lone bright spot).
Carlyle pitched a complete game two hitter in the romp. I am quite sure the Wings are looking forward to the game tomorrow so they have the chance to put this behind them and get back in the correct column. The Wings are now 18-10.
