The Wings lost the first game in the four game series at Frontier versues Pawtucket. Jimmy Haynes had a very uncharacteristic poor outing allowing six runs in six innings, though he was hurt by the Wings miserable fielding and actually only two runs were earned. Pawtucket spread their runs out, but the largest blow came in the sixth with a three run innings which put things pretty much out of hand. This closens the PawSox to the Wings for first.
Wawruck, Grubber and Matos had good days at bat, as Matos went 3-4 and the other two went 2-4. The Wings are now two games below .500 at night, while having a spectacular day record. The Wings well hope to gain a larger lead on the PawSox in game two at Frontier.
