The Wings take a second straight victory in the series and have taken a 2 1/2 game lead on the Sox with a 6-1 win at Frontier this afternoon in front of 6,916 fans. Rodriguez pitched superb today, eight innings allowing one run on two hits in eight innings. On top of that he walked only one hitter and had eight strikeouts! The Wings spread their runs out pretty well today, and Pawtucket did not get on the board until the sixth. The Wings brought in Shouse to close the game out in the ninth and he did so with 2 K's to end the game.
New Wings Frazier (2-5) and Foster had good games. Foster (another catcher) went 3-4 and the the Wings now have four catchers and good ones at that. These two help bring some much needed speed to the Wings. The Wings finish up the home series against the PawSox tomorrow.
