Toledo: 5, Rochester: 4

The Wings lose yet another close one, but this time in Toldeo. The story of this game for the Wings can really be simply not taking advantage of the chances which came forth. In the 2nd inning they left the bases loaded, which pretty much explained the way the game went. The Hens then took a 4-0 lead in the 5th off of starter Rick Krivda. The Wings then made it close when Willis Otanez got his first hit of the season, which happened to be a 3 run homer! Unfortunately, Toledo scored a run in the 8th which was the game winner. The Wings came within a run scoring 1 in the 9th, but left a man stranded at 3rd and lost 5-4 in front of a meager crowd of 1,103 in Toledo.

Certainly a tough loss, especially when in the 9th a very nice play was made to stop a hit which would have brought in 2 runs though it turned out to be a fielders choice. Then with 2 outs in the 9th, a ball which wold have been a wild pitch and would have scored the tieing run hit the Umpire, thus the ball being ruled dead. The Wings will again go at it in Toledo tommorrow night.
