The Red Wings continued their winning streak with the sweep of the Skychiefs at home during turn back the clock day. Today proved to be the Rick Krivda and Scott Bullett show. Bullett drove in all of the Wings runs with two homeruns, a three run homer in the second and a two run shot in the sixth. Krivda earned his second straight shutout and earned a league leading seventh win with a three hit, complete game shutout.
The win improves their record to a AAA best 34-17. Other impressive stats the Wings have now are a 18-4 record in day games and a 7-0 record at Frontier on Sundays. The Wings will now venture off to Pawtucket and Jimmy Haynes will pitch the opener of the series for the Wings. Today the Wings drew an impressive crowd of 7,998, the Wings have now drawn 140,070 fans for an average of 5,836 which ranks second in the IL. They only trail Norfolk, and it is safe to say they have had warmer weather than the Wings have had during this unusually cool spring.
