The Wings complete the series against Ottawa in thrilling fashion, as a ninth inning homer lifts the Wings over the Lynx on a rainy day in front of 7,388 fans. Ottawa struck first with a first inning homerun by Vitro to take a 1-0 lead. The Wings tied it in the sixth as Ledesma drove in Frazier. Ottawa would then take the lead in the seventh, which would set the stage for a dramatic finish. With two outs and one on in the ninth, Tommy Davis pounded the ball to left to give the Wings the win.

Haynes pitched well (8IP, 6h, 2r), but he did not get a decision. Shouse who pitched a shutout inning in relief received his second decision (2-0) of the season. The Wings continue their late inning brillance, as the Wings on several occasions have come back in the ninth and are unbeaten in extra innings! Quite a game, and sent home the 7,388 loyal, rain soaked fans happy! The Wings now open an important three game series at home with the PawSox.
