The Wings finally took an extra inning game in this series with a 2-1 win in 13 innings. Pawtucket struck first when Malave hit a homerun off of Krivda to make the score 1-0. The Wings finally were able to score on Mimbs with a run in the eighth to tie it. Then the game went to extra innings. The Wimgs then started doing what has hurt them this series, leaving men in scoring postition in extra innings. Luckily in the 13th the Wings took the game, as Clyburn drove in Laker to end it.
Both sides recieved fine pitching. Mimbs went 7 1/3 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 run. Krivda went 10 innings, allowing a run and 4 hits. Bennett and Corbin relieved Krivda and pitched 3 scoreless innings. The Wings lead is back up to three games and this ends what was a spectacular series at Frontier (though I am sure the Wings would have liked to have won an extra game or so). In the three games, there were 39 innings, that is 12 extra innings! This certainly looks to be a fine rivalry this year!
