The Wings lost a tough one to Toledo to open up their two day homestand in front of 7,288 fans. Rochester got on the board in the second, but Toledo would take the lead for good with back to back one run innings in the fifth and sixth. Unfortunately, the true back breaker came in the eighth. Rodriguez up to this point had pitched a great game. Unfortunately it became appearent he needed to be changed, and it came a bit too late as with two outs Toledo belted two homeruns and scored four in the inning. The Wings tried to rally in the ninth, with the bases loaded a double was belted right to the wall to come within two. Clyburn then came up with two outs and a man on and probably missed a homer by three feet and that was it.
Former Wing Joe Hall had the Hens second homerun in the eighth. Also the new Wings had pretty good days, despite the loss. The Wings will complete the two day homestand with a doubleheader.
