Rochester: 5 Charlotte: 3

The Wings defeated the Knights at Frontier in front of 11,344 fans. The Wings got on Ojala early, as they left six on through two, but luckily they cashed in during the third. The Wings put three on the board during the inning to take a 3-0 lead. Krivda started and got the job done, it was not one of his best outings (by his standards), but pitched eight innings allowing three runs and eleven hits. In the ninth, after allowing a homer and a double, Steph came on in relief and got two K's and a flyout to earn the save.

The PawSox lost cutting their lead to only a half game. Pat Gillick was on hand for todays game, which helps support the theroy that Krivda will be called up soon (and very deservedly so). New Wing Mike Berry continued his strong play for the Wings as his average is above .400 at this point (obviously due to a limited numbers of at bats, but impressive nonetheless). The Wings conclude the series against the Knights Sunday before going on the road again.
