The Wings lost their final game in Pawtucket for the year as the PawSox finished the sweep of the series. As always in McCoy, the balls were flying out of the park on a regular basis (as McCoy is a bandbox). The Wings had two and Pawtucket had three, unfortunately both Rochester homeruns were solo shots (Waszgis, Wawruck). The Wings did have nine hits, but stranded several runners on base. Rodriguez's bad luck continues as he takes another loss (4-8).
The Wings return to Frontier for a seven game homestand. They have a three game series against Norfolk and a four game series against Columbus (Irabu is scheduled to start for the Clippers monday). The weather looks great for the weekend luckily! The Wings will try to regain some ground on the Sox with the homestand.
