The Wings took their third straight win from the Clippers in front of 6,266 fans at Frontier. Columbus struck first with a leadoff homerun from Pose. Buchanan hit a solo homerun in the second to help the Clippers to a 2-0 lead. The Wings then scored a total of six runs between the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take a 6-2 lead. Ledesma was superb once again going 3-4. Frazier, Davis, Clyburn and Matos went 2-4 and Bullett went 1-2 walking twice. Columbus would score two in the eighth, but Corbin came in for the ninth and shut the door as the Wings won.
The Wings are now within a 1 1/2 games of first as the PawSox lost at home 11-8 to the Braves. The Wings will try to earn a sweep in the series finale (and the final game in the homestand) tomorrow. There will be a fireworks show after the game also and Yan will start for the Wings.
