Rochester: 10 Ottawa: 8

The Wings completed the sweep of the Lynx in a wild affair at Frontier with a 10-8 win in front of 6,758 fans. Krivda started for the wins and did earn the win, though it was one of his poorer outings going 5 2/3 innings allowing eight runs. The Wings offensively were carried by an impressive fourth inning. They put eight runs on the board. The Wings had three homeruns, with them coming from Davis, Matos and Waszgis. The Wings received a combined 3 1/3 innings relief from Bennett and Yan, both of whom allowed no runs.

This win extends the Wings winning streak to three and they have won eight of their last nine! The PawSox won so the Wings lead the Sox by 1/2 going into the break. The Wings have a 53-38 record at the break, certainly much better than anticipated by anyone! The Wings have two days off for the break before coming home to play the O's exhibition. Rick Krivda will not be at the game due to an illness within his familty, so Yan will replace him. Yan has been impressive from both the starting and relieving positions (he had a win a few days ago and earned the save for this game) and is certainly worthy of going.
