The Red Barons took an early lead in game two as they banged up new Wings pitcher (in his second start) Johns for eight hits and five runs in only two innings. Luckily that is all of the offense the Barons would receive. Aaron Ledesma had an outstanding game! He had a solo homerun and went 3-4 for the day with two RBI's. Also, Lou Frazier had a clutch two RBI hit in the game. The Wings went into the sixth tied, but Matos came through with a base hit to drive in the winning run and Brian Shouse closed off the game!
Certainly not to be overshadowed was the Wings spectacular relief pitching! Chris Bennett went four perfect innings striking out four and allowing no hits or walks. Then Shouse was also perfect in the seventh for the save! Quite an impressive comeback effort and it is a fine way to usher on the road trip. The PawSox came back from a 4-2 deficit in Norfolk to win 8-7, so the Wings gained a half game on them (the lead for the Wings is now a game and a half). The Wings now venture off to Syracuse to start the road trip.
