The Wings won their sixth straight game with a 4-2 win in Syracuse, in front of 10,656 fans that were lured to the park by a free car promotion. The Wings scored all of their runs in the first and second. Bullett drove in the lone run in the first inning to give the Wings the 1-0 lead. The Wings then had a three run second, as Jim Wawaruck drove in two to give the Wings a 4-0 lead. Ramirez was strong in the start going six innings allowing two runs and Shouse came on for his second straight save as he struck out the side to give the Wings the win.
The Wings improve to a perfect 10-0 against the Syracuse this season. The PawSox won in extra innings so the Wings lead remains at 1 1/2 games.
